The worst restaurant we have ever been to in all my years of travelling in Spain. Ordered a medium steak and received the following in the picture. When I asked for it to be cooked further, a dry and burnt steak was brought out. We were a group of 10 and everyone’s food was horrid and 3 dishes came incorrect. When we refused to pay full price for the incorrect dishes, the chef said he would call the police so we had to pay. They were so rude and the lady who served us saw we were upset with our food due to all the wrong orders and uncooked steak and left the premises, leaving the chef to have to deal with us.

Waited over a hour for food. Then when it came: Raw chicken, disgraceful service: One of our party of 4 ordered the chicken skewer. For the majority of the dish it was fine although the vegetables were quite raw. One large piece of chicken was raw. I raised the problem with the manager and her reaction was "it's only one piece of raw chicken"! No apology. No effort to rectify the dissatisfaction. No acknowledgement that to serve any raw chicken is actually extremely dangerous. She actually walked away. We asked for the bill 4 times and when it finally came it was the wrong (a significantly higher) bill. The person with the raw chicken raised the issue and physically went to find the manager to raise the issue again. There was no effort to apologise again. The correct bill was issued and paid. Once again no apology was proferred. When our dissatisfiction was raised the manager was rude, dismissive and appalling. She became accusatory to other innocent members of our party and stated that she thought we had been in the restaurant recently and complained. In actual fact 2 people had been to this restaurant in the past but not for at least 2 years, although we were baffled as to why this would even be relevant. I can only say avoid this restaurant like the plague. Food consumed by other members of the party was acceptable but the disgraceful reaction of the staff in this establishment was unprecedented.

We were hungry after a hike and the food was great, they moved fast but in the meantime we enjoyed the outside garden in the sun. The view from inside the restaurant is gorgeous, definitely recommend a visit if you’re around.

This an amazing place,it has got some magic into it.The high ceilings and decoration are great.It feels like a European type of restaurant where attention to details are key.
Food is varied and perfectly executed without any complications.

This has to be one of the finest restaurants in Competa. We had an amazing meal here recently, so good we decided to come back for lunch the next day instead of somewhere else. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and with fish specials. It was great to see a whole page of vegetarian options too. The staff are all incredible, very friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional both in quality and quantity. We truly felt very well looked after while there, receiving drinks and food without much wait on both occasions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to eat in Competa.

Avoid – Rude Staff, Terrible Service and Food

We had a really disappointing experience during our visit to Cómpeta. The evening started off with extremely slow service – we were left for long periods without drinks or even water, and the food took hours to arrive. We were told by our waiter that they were short-staffed, so we tried to be understanding.

Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived, it was another letdown. Some dishes were completely wrong, missing and one of the steaks was so overcooked it was actually inedible. When we raised this with the waiter and explained that we didn’t feel we should pay for certain items given the poor experience, the situation escalated unnecessarily.

The chef came out and was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of engaging in a conversation or offering any solution, he said he couldn’t do anything and told us he would just call the police. It was a completely unprofessional and aggressive response, and it left us feeling stressed and upset. We ended up leaving without finishing our meal, and the whole experience really put a damper on our evening.

With some lovely other restaurants around, I would not recommend this place.

Seems like a real turnaround - we always come back as the location and setting is great but food has been patchy in the past and service used to be dire - this is no longer true - still the same great pizzas but the rest of the menu is new and brilliant. Service is fantastic now - highly recommend.
