Fantastic restaurant. Hearty local food and incredibly good value. You can choose smaller plates or the set menu, which I had, during the evening. Friendly efficient service and amazing food. And everything came out hot which is sometimes lacking in Spain. The stew was piping hot, the steak came sizzling on the plate and was perfectly cooked. Even the coffee was piping hot. Quite an enjoyable experience here! The place is rather busy (or maybe we came at such an hour), but the service is fast. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly! It is also clean. We learnt about it from a local.

Jaca is about halfway between Madiran, France, where we had been staying, and Zaragoza, Spain, where we were headed. On the advice of a friend, we stopped for a great, inexpensive lunch. Nice people and good food.

Excellent experience of regional food in an austere ambiance, served by it's owner. Reasonable prices and extra tasty food. Thank you to our waiter, Eric, for such a familiar service. We'll be back!

Didn't order bread but got it anyway while waiting for the main course so we though it was free. While we were eating they refilled the bread and yes we ate it too. When it was time to pay, it turned out that the bread were not free. It didn't cost much but still we didn't order it so it felt like we got tricked. We paid 52€ for 1kg of meat with bone with a little bit of potatoes chips, 1 water, 1 beer and of course bread that we didn't order. The meat was good though.

Impossible to get a table if you are not a local. We have tried on numerous occasions to book in advance or even walk in but the staff are rude and cold and will not even attempt to check if they have space if they see you are a tourist "No no no totalmente lleno, imposible". It's a shame because my partner and I have been visiting Jaca for years and have a very fond memory in the restaurant.

Fun traditional aragoneses joint. Delicious food and lovely service. Reserve or show up early as it gets tremendously busy.
