Booked a table for menu del dia on a Friday afternoon, beautiful little restaurant with a gorgeous garden area. The quality, presentation & value of the food was outstanding (€16.50 for 3 courses). Attention to detail was just perfect & the service was great. Fab wine list too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gorgeous hidden gem (only negative is it's took me so long to finally get round to visiting!) Will definitely return, can highly recommend the carrot cake, braised pork cheeks & seafood chowder!) Thank you for a lovely visit, Beatriz & Sean 🙂

Tikar is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location to explore Garrucha. It is also a short walk to the local bus stops that service Vera and Mojacor. |The food is excellent. Breakfast is cold buffet that can be enjoyed in the lovely enclosed garden. We didn't have lunch there but did have evening meals and the food wine was of excellent quality. Not to be missed is the Saturday afternoon tapas in the garden. |The accomodation is quite spacious and has a lounge, seperate bedroom and bathroom. There is also a lift to the rooms if you want to avoid the stairs.|What makes Tikar different is the service. All the staff are friendly and helpful but deserving special mention are the the owners, Beatrix and Sean, who are the most welcoming and attentive hosts.|Hotel Tikar is now our first choice to stay when we are visiting this area.

It was our first time at Tikar Hotel and previous reviews of the dining experience were well justified. Seated outside in the garden at the back of the hotel it was easy to forget where we were. The pool, water feature and greenery added to the peaceful and relaxed vibe of the place. Also at the front of the hotel is a small terrace with tables for smokers. Also a small wine shop just aside from reception with a very nice selection. We had Menu Del Dia lunch at €16.95 each plus drinks. My wife had seafood chowder followed by slow cooked beef with mushroom sauce. I had pate followed by pig cheeks. We both finished off with bananas in rum and cinnamon sauce. The food was exceptional as was the service. It has been one of the best meals we've had since moving to Spain in March this year. We have already booked for dinner next month and we're very much looking forward to it. Well worth a 45 minute drive.

Hidden Oasis, the outside terrace by the pool is a beautiful calm, serene place to eat. Hidden away you can escape and just enjoy the delicious food. Lunchtime menu del dia is amazing value at €16.50 with great food choices catering for all tastes. Sean is a master of wine enjoy a meal here come back for a wine tasting

Great food, wine, owners and atmosphere. We've had the menu del día here at lunchtime, the main menu in the evening and enjoyed the jazz nights and wine tasting nights. Everything has always been excellent.

During a trip to visit family in the nearby village of Los Gallardos we had two wonderful meals in the restaurant at the Hotel Tikar.| |The first time was for lunch. We had spinach salad with feta cheese and warm pasta in apple and curry sauce to start, cooked beef and grilled salmon for main, and the sautéed bananas and lemon tart for dessert. ||We enjoyed the food and hospitality so much that we decided to return the following evening to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The next time round we had grilled asparagus and pasta in four cheese sauce to start, duck leg confit and lamb shank for main and molten chocolate cake and the sautéed bananas for dessert. ||On both occasions Sean and the team were most welcoming. They were also accommodating in providing food that was suitable for our toddler.
