The food at the restaurant is exquisite. I live in Alicante and whenever relatives visit from out of town I bring them here to dine. We also have great food and great service. Today we had Alex as our server. Not only did he accommodate our large party well but he spoke English to my family member who couldn’t speak Spanish.

Restaurant was 80% empty. We’ve specifically came to town to visit this place but they’ve refused the seating with some arrogance due to “all tables are reserved”. That happens and we understand it. We went to have a lunch at a great place around the corner. The food was excellent and service was superb! An hour and half later we are passing by this place and guess what! Still no people, same open tables.

You didn’t like our limited Spanish? Didn’t want to deal with English speaking customers or got offended by our Ukrainian symbol on one of the hats? You can clarify your excuse here. You get 1 star for your arrogance!!!

We booked a double room but were instead given a studio with kitchen & bathroom so a lovely surprise. The food & wines available are simple but for us the best! Seasonal produce, local foods and great wines available and served well from the helpful staff. We dined every night at the restaurant because it was very good, serving good quality meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. We think the pension is under-rated and should be upgraded. The Spanish come here and eat and stay that tells you much! Great quiet location within the Sierra Mariola National Park, with a convent, natural fountains, views, walks and a ceramics market. You will find a butcher, fishmongers, patisserie and 2 bars. The Bar opposite the Pension was small and friendly. The studio was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed made. Lovely staff would highly recommend 🙂

Very good food and a good location to get an idea of authentic regional kitchen. The staff is friendly and attentive, of course bilingual at least.
Very recommended for a lunch when touring the area by bike, motorbike or car.
And if even the Guide Michelin approves, there's no more to say

Disappointed as had a long day travelling arrived at 18.15 and told even though it was a hotel we couldn’t get a drink until 20.30 until the restaurant opened, and then we were told we couldn’t eat outside when we turned up at 20.30 as soon as the restaurant opened as we were very hungry, no tables were taken but we were turned away, we felt very an alienated and not made to feel welcome at all, we don’t expect staff to speak English but body language said it all, great place if you are Spanish. Was looking forward to this stay as we were thinking of buying property in the area, it has put us off totally, shame !!!

We were optimistic that our visit to this rural Spanish pension would be something special. We have a villa in Alicante area and have eaten widely there over the last 10 years. Sadly during this visit we were sadly dissappointed with the accomodation and the value & quality of the food. Firstly the good news: everything was very clean and the booking, reception, and checkout were efficient. We stayed in room 7. It was small, the "double" bed would only fit close to one wall, poorly/cheaply furnished, had no TV and the aircon unit further reduced space available by being directly above the double bed on an already low ceiling. Although the bathroom was small it was ok and everything worked well. WiFi in the room was good and quick. The window faced directly onto a very small area of daylight and directly towards at close range to further bedrooms.||The restaurant looks very Spanish & with a nice rustic atmosphere. We arrived too late to sample their 18 euro Menu Del Dia, but had 2 courses from their normal menu for dinner and the included breakfast the following morning. The evening dinner courses were disappointing very routine fare and not as good as many of our local Spanish restaurants serve for their 10 -12 euros Menu Del Dias. Portions were smallish and noticeably so than similar dishes we saw served to some Spanish diners. We think we got the "runts". Althought for dinner the restaurant was not particularly busy the service was a little frantic for no particular reason and was generally more functional than friendly. Chocolate cake dessert was unusual being a relatively small portion of apparently tastless cake completely smoothered in bottled chocolate sauce.||The included breakfast was towards the more minimal Spanish type, being toasted bread, jams, tomato puree, a small bottle of fruit juice, coffee or tea, and some sweet cakes. No alternative breads, cheese, ham, cereal, yoghurt or fruit were offered. Not inspiring. Based on our visit we wil not be returning and would not recommend.

Beautiful scenic location. Food was fabulous and served by Alex . The hour & half booking went way too quickly.

What can I say, I had to send stakes back for me and my wife. Very tough, could not cut and when told the waiter then just took them away without apologies. Next we had a menu thrown at us with nothing said. For the record the stakes were around 25 Euros each.
