This place was amazing. For starters, the setting in a palloza is incredible and unique—something you will not find anywhere else. Second, the food itself was amazing. The menu del dia was something like 19 euro and came with an entire bottle of bierzo wine, as I was dining alone. First course was pasta shells with bierzo charcuterie and second was roasted pig cheeks. Both were absolutely delicious. Do not miss this place if you are in the vicinity and needing a place to eat.

What a wonderfully obscure place! Stone, wood and straw thatch help this bar/venue disguise itself among the hills and trees. But inside is surprisingly warm and open. Unique and authentically weird.

A must if you are in the area, try the botillo with rice de primero. Good wine and food in a beautiful place you must visit if you're interested in seeing the traditional pallozas of the Bierzo, I loved it and had a great dinner. Friendly service too, thank you Palloza de Balboa!!

Unfriendly staff, u need reservations here. The Palloza is beautiful but I recommend to go to " La Palloza de Cris " only few meters away
