Read reasons for a 3 instead of 4-star review. The restaurant, albeit old school, does not have a menu to browse from…or to even have a faint idea of prices of food. They will read you a list of fish they offer and basically you absorb all of that and tell them what you want. That’s it. If you are not from the area, then neither would you know what type of local fish they’re offering. 3 stars for this.
Portions are not big, nor do main fish dishes come with simple sides or anything like potatoes or some veg. What I do have to acknowledge is the fish (we had a turbot type fish “remol”) although quite small for 2 persons, was grilled PERFECTLY. Never have we had such amazing and tender turbot, grilled to perfection. Food quality is very good.

Excelente pescado i marisco. No és barato, pero es q lo bueno se paga. Excelente offer of seafood and fish. It's up scaling but worth to pay.

Very expensive restaurant. An unfriendly lady quickly tells you in Catalan what they have there is no menu to read from. So you also don’t know prices. I didn’t understand anything of it. We where with a group so we ordered food that we could share. The food was not bad but ridiculously expensive. Never come back here.

Way overpriced for what it is. The fish is fresh but nothing more. They don’t give you a menu or show prices to trap you (very dodgy and disrespectful), the dishes are simple without sides, and the service is regular for what they charge you. There are better restaurants in Palamós to enjoy at a fair price. Don’t recommend it at all.

No menu at all so you get to see some options on a plate without knowing what you ll pay. We got this famous Palamós shrimps and mussels, we paid 45 euros for a plate of shrimps. Once they served us, they forgot we exist they started closing up and we had to wait a while to get the bill.
Worst part is that 3 of us got food poisoned.

Very polite and friendly but very bad experience in the end.

This is by far the best seafoodplace in spain. Very authentic interior, serious staff, and masters in the kitchen. I normally eat at sa marinada(st feliu)or la taverna del mar(s'agaro) but this place is another dimension. Way much better food. Not to mention very good price! They should have a michelin star!

Calamari Frito, monk fish, house cava, sardines were all inpeccably prepared. Delicious across the board and cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Save room for the chocolate dessert as well.
