A Refined Culinary Experience at El 51 del Sol in Aranda de Duero
We visited El 51 del Sol on a Sunday evening. Although the main dining room was closed, they offer the option to dine in the bar area — a comfortable, calm, and pleasant space that was quite lively.
The staff were attentive, efficient, and the service was impeccable throughout. We ordered several starters: a cheese board, boletus croquettes, and txipirón (squid) croquettes — all excellent. We then shared a fresh and perfectly executed ensalada de la huerta, followed by cocochas al pil pil and a pichón stew. Every dish was outstanding in both flavor and presentation.
For dessert, we tried the goat’s milk flan with licorice ice cream — an absolute delight, creative and delicious.
The wine list offers great quality for the price. We chose El Holgazán from Bodegas Marta Maté, a fresh and fruity red wine that paired beautifully with the meal.
We went without a reservation and were glad to find a table. Highly recommended for anyone looking for refined cuisine and excellent service in Aranda de Duero.

Everything from the welcoming ambiance to the fine cuisine items and exquisite wine reminds you once again you’re in the heart of Spain’s most important wine regions. Food was excellent, the octopus, the sweet pepper salad, the torrezno.. una maravilla! 100% recommended

An amazing experience! We left another well reviewed establishment disappointed by their unfriendly service. What a good omen that turned out to be! The service was impeccable and the food delicious! Wine suggestions were on point from an extensive, local wine list. The food, however, was the star! Start to finish, we were blown away with the quality and preparation. The Rib Eye was one of the best steaks I have ever had.
